Sunday School
Sunday Schools at 9:30 A.M.

The First day of Sunday school is Sept. 17, 2017.

The last day of Sunday school is May 6, 2018.

Sunday School classes are offered to children ages 3 years old (by September 1) through 6th grade. Classes are held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Students meet downstairs in the lower level for a brief worship experience and then gather in their classrooms. Throughout the year, students participate in several outreach events and an annual Christmas program in December.

Our Sunday School year begins on September 17, 2017 and continues through May 6, 2018. Registration is required, though guests are always welcome.

First Communion

Children have the opportunity once per year to take this brief course of classes prior to receiving their first communion. At St. Mark, this is typically a part of the first grade Sunday School curriculum. For more information, contact Karen Kammer at 815-398-3557 or karen@stmarklc.com

Nursery care is available on Sunday mornings from 7:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. and for special events. Our nursery is available for children ages 6 months through 3 years old and is staffed by adults. Nursery services are free of charge.

The nursery is staffed each Sunday morning from 7:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. by Kristine Siemens, our nursery attendant.  Kristine is certified in early childhood development and has recently opened her own preschool in Pecatonica.  Parents with children 6 months through 3 years old are invited to take advantage of the welcoming, loving environment that Kristine and our volunteers provide.

Cradle Roll

Children birth to 3 years old are a part of our Cradle Roll.

Their parents receive Splash, a monthly, Christ-centered, developmental newsletter.

Good News Bearers

Good News Bearers is our Bible drama group for 2nd-6th graders. Students meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 p.m.-6:45 p.m. beginning in September.

GNB's perform monthly during the 9:30 service.

They also read Bible story books at home to prepare for their annual Bible trivia contest.
